As a Senior Sales Manager - you are responsible for working closely with the Director of Sales to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. You are responsible for telling the world about Modus Hotels, and developing and contracting group business. You will target group accounts, markets or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive selling and market saturation. You will assist the Director of Sales in leading and developing the junior sales team so as Modus grows, they grow- and are ready to step into new sales leadership roles that arise. Your director will do the same for you. As a leader at the property, you will be an example of the Modus Vision and Core Values in action, as well as supporting the operations team in the execution of sales related events.
If you have a laser focus and a tenacious entrepreneurial spirit, then you’re off to a good start. You will have three to five years of independent or lifestyle hotel sales experience- be ready to give us concrete examples of your past sales success! You understand the DC hotel market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and know how to sell against them. You have proven success in developing, building and maintaining long-term client relationships in order to achieve personal and team related revenue goals. You won’t be afraid to keep knocking on closed doors, and above all, you’ll deliver results. One more thing-we are an equal opportunity employer.
