You will be at the center of the hotel's universe-the front office. You can look at it one of two ways. You can say "I check people in and out of the hotel and make sure I get proper payment by using the property management system and following established procedure." Or you can say "I am an ambassador for my city and host to its visitors. I create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests by sharing my knowledge of the area and concerning myself with their wellbeing." One can be replaced by an iPad, the other can transform a guest's experience. Guess which one we are looking for?
Our fast-paced environment requires that you communicate clearly and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. You will have excellent knowledge of the city and be on top of all the current happenings in the DC restaurant, entertainment and fitness arenas and be eager to share this information with our guests. You'll know how to handle cash responsibly and reliably, and you'll be able to use the tools of the trade: computers, databases, and property management systems to efficiently handle the technical side of the job. You will have experience in providing customer service and you'll have proven your ability to lead. Hospitality is a 24/7 gig, so you'll be prepared to pull all kinds of shifts 7am, 3pm, 11pm and weekends. One more thing-we are an equal opportunity employer.
